Beyond Talent Solutions is delighted to be supporting a well-established values-led organisation in the Sheffield area with the appointment of a Part-Time HR Coordinator on a 12-month fixed-term basis, focusing on delivering a specific HR project.

About the Role

Reporting into the HR Manager, you’ll provide both practical HR support and advisory input across a varied and rewarding organisation. You’ll work closely with managers, volunteers, and stakeholders, offering guidance while ensuring best practice across HR administration, recruitment, and employee lifecycle processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing day-to-day HR support and first-line advice to managers and teams
  • Supporting recruitment activity end-to-end, from advert stage through to onboarding
  • Issuing contracts and managing pre-employment checks
  • Coordinating inductions, probation tracking, and training records
  • Maintaining accurate personnel records in line with GDPR requirements
  • Supporting policy and handbook updates to reflect current employment legislation
  • Using HR systems (including Access People HR) to maintain accurate employee data
  • Assisting with HR projects linked to the fixed-term funding
  • Supporting managers with sensitive areas such as returns to work, occupational health referrals, and absence management - always with a compassionate, practical HR approach.

About You

This role will suit someone who enjoys variety and autonomy, and who is confident working with stakeholders at different levels.

You’ll Ideally Bring

  • CIPD Level 5 (or working towards)
  • A solid grounding in UK employment law
  • Experience supporting recruitment and onboarding processes
  • The confidence to advise managers using HR policies and best practice
  • Strong attention to detail and comfort using HR systems and Microsoft Office
  • A calm, approachable manner and a genuine interest in supporting people
  • Driving license and access to own car to be able to visit different sites across the area

Experience within a charity or not-for-profit organisation would be advantageous, but is not essential.

The Contract

This position is offered on a 12-month fixed-term contract, ideally around 24 hours a week, aligned to specific funding, with potential for this to be extended or become permanent.
