Part-Time Legal Cashier
Location: Blackburn
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 FTE (pro rata)
Job Type: Permanent, Part-Time - 2-3 days per week
Working Pattern: Office-Based with Flexible Core Hours
Client Details
Michael Page have partnered with an established and well-respected law firm in Blackburn who are looking to recruit an experienced Legal Cashier to join its friendly and supportive team on a permanent, part-time basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and detail-oriented individual with legal finance experience to play a key role in the day-to-day financial operations of the firm. The position offers flexible core working hours and can accommodate candidates looking to work 2 or 3 days per week.

- Processing client and office account transactions in accordance with the SRA Accounts Rules.
- Managing daily banking activities, including receipts, payments and bank reconciliations.
- Processing electronic payments and CHAPS transfers.
- Posting and reconciling client and office account transactions.
- Handling purchase ledger invoices and supplier payments.
- Raising office invoices and processing receipts.
- Monitoring client balances and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Liaising with fee earners, suppliers and clients regarding financial queries.
- Maintaining accurate financial records and supporting audit requirements.
- Assisting with general finance administration as required.

The Successful Legal Cashier Will Have

- Previous experience working as a Legal Cashier within a law firm.
- A strong understanding of the SRA Accounts Rules.
- Experience managing client and office accounts.
- Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Good working knowledge of legal accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to work.
