About the Role
Our client, an established construction-focused consultancy, seeks an experienced Office Manager to work 2.5–3 days per week, with flexibility regarding hours (e.g., shortened days like 10:00 AM–2:45 PM) while ensuring at least half-day Friday support and one mandatory office day per week.
Ideal for someone with industry knowledge in engineering, architecture, construction, or professional services, this role offers scope to shape a newly created position as the business grows sustainably while maintaining a supportive, flexible culture.
Key Responsibilities
Core Administrative Duties
- Preparing and issuing client invoices
- Monitoring and chasing outstanding payments via email and phone
- Managing timesheets and internal administrative processes
- Processing subcontractor and consultant invoices
- Supporting document control and maintaining company templates
- Managing office supplies and general office administration
- Coordinating staff training (Continuing Professional Development, meetings, events)
- Handling CV screening and recruitment administration
- Supporting new employee onboarding
- Responding to general enquiries

Marketing Assistance
- Managing company social-media accounts
- Coordinating project photography/videography
- Updating brochures and website content
- Assisting with marketing materials (formatting, proofs) (Experience with publishing/design software is a plus but not mandatory.)
Additional Responsibilities (Dependent on Experience)
- Compiling framework and supplier applications
- Managing business development activities
- Following up on new client enquiries
- Organising staff social events
- Proofreading and formatting reports, proposals, and documents
About You
- Proven experience in office management, administration, or business support
- Work history in engineering, architectural, construction, or professional-services consultancies
- Strong organisational with exceptional communication and client-facing skills
- Ability to chase invoices with confidence
- Attention to detail and Microsoft Office proficiency (advanced skills advantageous)
- Self-directed with ability to manage varied workloads under minimal supervision
- A proactive, flexible approach to work
