Looking for steady, part-time decorating work with regular hours and long-term security?
We’re recruiting a Painter / Decorator to join our on-site facilities team at HMP Full Sutton, a well-run prison site just outside York.
What’s on offer
- £17,718 – £20,635
- 24 hours per week – Monday to Wednesday, 08:00–16:30
- Occasional weekend work (1 in 3) paid at +15% of the base salary allowance
- Long-term, stable role with Amey
The job
- Planned and reactive painting and decorating
- Commercial environment – no private customers
- Working safely to site procedures
- Supporting prisoners involved in decorating work

What you’ll need
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Painting & Decorating
- Comfortable working in a prison environment, alongside prisoners
- Good understanding of health & safety
Prison security clearance, Standard DBS, and Counter Terrorism Check required – fully supported by Amey.
