This position is twin-track — planned maintenance alongside reactive work as needed. No private customers; work within a commercial, government-led environment and support decorating programs for prisoners—a proven rehabilitation initiative.

Your Responsibilities
- Plan and carry out painting/decorating work in a high-security environment
- Maintain safety and decorum while working alongside prison staff and inmates
- Support prisoner-led community work programs (decorating as vocational training)
- Follow professional standards for quality, deadlines, and client requirements
- Adapt to both scheduled tasks and unplanned projects
Requirements
✔ At least NVQ Level 2 (or 3 preferred) in Painting & Decorating qualification ✔ Confidence working in a prison environment—must respect security protocols ✔ Understanding of health, safety, and welfare policies needed in commercial work/ ✔ Willingness to undergo security clearance (DBS Check, Counter-Terrorism)** ✔ Formal support provided for paperwork (attestation, relevant checks)
