Part-Time Production Operative

Kinetic Industrial are working with a leading supplier of specialist cable products and solutions in Blackley to recruit a part-time Production Operative. Here you'll play a key role in keeping production running smoothly while supporting safety, quality and environmental performance. This is a part-time, temporary to permanent position with opportunity for full time hours in the future. You must be able to work rotating shifts of:

  • Week 1 - Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 8:30am to 5pm (16 hours)
  • Week 2 - Monday and Tuesday 8:30am to 5pm (24 hours)

PLEASE NOTE, WE WILL CONDUCT A DRUGS AND ALCOHOL TEST AT INTERVIEW STAGE WHICH MUST BE NEGATIVE IN ORDER TO START

Role:

  • Follow cutting orders and use correct materials
  • Cut, pack, and process cable orders accurately
  • Operate machinery safely
  • Complete orders using scanners or manual records
  • Wear PPE and report any issues
  • Report faults, accidents, or damaged products
  • Keep work area clean and organised
  • Check tools/equipment and report defects
  • Follow safety and environmental guidelines
  • Support with general tasks as required

Requirements:

  • Good numeracy and literacy skills
  • Clear communication skills
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Reliable, hardworking, and self-motivated
  • Basic understanding of health & safety in an industrial environment
  • Production/quality experience (preferred)
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • NVQ or equivalent (desirable)
  • Must pass a drug and alcohol test

  • £12.71 per hour
  • Part time with the chance of full time in the future
  • Temporary to permanent position
