Duties

At GSF Car Parts, the role of a Retail Assistant is central to delivering exceptional customer service. You will play a critical role in achieving branch and personal sales targets through face-to-face interactions, click-and-collect fulfillment, and fostering strong customer relationships. Key responsibilities include:

  • Serve trade and retail customers for click-and-collect and general orders while maximising sales opportunities.
  • Pick and prepare parts from the warehouse to fulfil customer orders efficiently.
  • Support the sales team by handling telephone and electronic queries related to product promotions.
  • Satisfy customer needs—effectively managing part orders, returns, and queries.
  • Check customer returns for resale eligibility, warranty status, or applicable surcharges.
  • Optimise team and personal performance by contributing to sales targets and exceeding KPIs.
  • Use the e-learning portal to develop product knowledge and enhance performance.
  • Maintain cleanliness and professional presentation in customer-facing areas.
  • Build strong customer relationships, understanding their garage needs and preferences.
  • Uphold the company’s values, promoting a positive brand image through professional conduct.
  • Achieve and exceed relevant sales and service KPIs.

Working Hours: Averaging 22.5 hours per week (Mon–Fri), including alternate Saturday shifts.


About You

To excel in this role, you should have:

✔ Proven customer service or sales/retail experience in a customer-facing capacity. ✔ A target-driven, motivated approach, with a focus on achieving results. ✔ Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to proactively resolve queries. ✔ Confidence in IT and computer systems, including experience with MAM, Allicat, and MS Office (desirable). ✔ Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work collaboratively. ✔ Attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in orders, returns, and administrative tasks. ✔ Familiarity with car parts or the automotive industry is advantageous (not essential).
