Job Description

As a Sales Assistant at Sports Direct, you’ll be at the heart of the action—directly helping customers, keeping the store running smoothly and playing your part in achieving retail success.

What You’ll Do

  • Greets customers with enthusiasm and helps them find the right product or answer queries promptly.
  • Provides brilliant customer service from the moment they walk in to checkout.
  • Ensures the shop floor remains tidy, well-stocked, and visually appealing.
  • Replenishes shelves and displays to support a fluid, customer-first experience.
  • Processes transactions accurately and efficiently, including cash, card and contactless payments.
  • Promotes offers and promotions while identifying upsell opportunities.
  • Works collaboratively to meet daily sales, service and revenue targets.

What You’ll Bring

  • A friendly, positive, and confident attitude—you’ll be the first face customers see.
  • Strong communication skills, with a genuine desire to help and serve.
  • A team-player mentality who performs better when the pace ramps up.
  • Flexibility and reliability, especially during peak trading periods.
  • The motivation to drive results and take pride in your contributions.
  • Experience in retail or customer service is beneficial but not essential—we’ll pass you the skills you need.
