Facilities & Services Cleaner – Newton Park Campus – Full Job Description


Application Deadline: 7 July 2026 Department: Estates & Services Location: Bath, Somerset – Newton Park Compensation (GRADE 2)

  • Annual Salary: £17,385.83 to £17,446 (pro rata) or £25,949 to £26,039 (full-time equivalent).

About the Role

This is an opportunity for a reliable and dedicated individual to join our elite Facilities and Services team, helping to maintain a clean and safe environment on our Newton Park Campus.

Key Responsibilities

  • Clean and maintain University premises to the highest standards.
  • Support students, staff, and visitors with a positive, proactive approach.
  • Ensure a sparkling and vibrant campus environment.
  • Work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, ever-changing setting.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Customer service experience (preferably in a mentoring or front-line capacity).
  • Ability to:
    • Work safely and independently while meeting deadlines.
    • Understand verbal and written instructions.
    • Collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Previous cleaning experience (or comparable hands-on role).
  • Basic computer skills (e-mail, word processing, Optional Spreadsheet).
  • Knowledge of cleaning products and techniques.
  • Right to Work/Live in the UK (application will be rejected if this cannot be confirmed).
