Part-Time Vet Opportunity in Southwest London

Putney and Fulham are two of our popular GP clinics based in beautiful Southwest London, just over the river from each other, and the teams are looking for a part-time vet to support them both in their day-to-day first opinion caseload.

About Your New Role

The rota for this sole charge 3-day week position is Mondays and Thursdays in Putney, and Fridays in Fulham. This will provide the practice, team, and clients with weekly consistency on the senior vets' days off.

Your rota also includes:

  • 1:3 branch Saturday
  • 1:10 hospital Sunday rotation
  • 1 bank holiday per year

There are NO on-call requirements.

Putney Team

Our Putney team currently includes:

  • 1 associate vet (who has absolutely hit the ground running since starting!)
  • A fantastic clinical support team who have a passion for building strong bonds with their established client base and providing exemplary patient care.

We are going through a new era in Putney and are also recruiting for a senior RVN so you will have a blank page of a practice to build up as a new team. If you have an RVN friend or colleague that is also looking for a new senior opportunity, this could be an ideal package deal…and you would be eligible for a refer a friend bonus!

Fulham Team

In Fulham, you will be supported by an established support team who have trained through the practice and have a genuine bond with their clients.

Duties

As a branch vet, some of your duties will include (shared with your senior RVN):

  • Carry out consultations, thoroughly examining all pets presented and making management and treatment recommendations which are based on best practice and are evidence-based and in accordance with GVG protocols.
  • Perform surgery on cases as appropriate and within boundaries of personal competence and limitation of overnight care.
  • Maintain, prescribe, and dispense all medications in accordance with appropriate current medicines legislation and RCVS guidance.
  • Record accurate and thorough clinical notes and ensure that pets’ histories are accurate, comprehensive, and useful to colleagues.
  • Be prepared to refer cases in a timely manner, in the first instance to a GVG Hospital, when there is an inability to undertake a case for whatever reason.
  • Help to maintain a respectful and collaborative team environment.
  • Work alongside your RVN to ensure branch meetings are scheduled and the clinics SOP’s are being actioned.
  • Oversee the consulting and surgical/diagnostic diary in compliance with company policies.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
