Key Responsibilities

As a Waking Night Care Assistant, your expertise will help our customers:

  • Feel secure and well cared for between 10pm and 7am.
  • Maintain their dignity and autonomy in their own homes.

Your day-to-day tasks include:

  • Customising support to each customer’s personalised care plan.
  • Assisting with personal care, repositioning, and night-time routines.
  • Ensuring medication administration and ongoing wellbeing monitoring.
  • Light household duties (e.g., tidying, laundry, keeping the environment safe).
  • Providing reassurance and companionship to ease anxiety or loneliness.
  • Communicating concerns promptly to the care team.

Requirements

To thrive in this role, you’ll need:

  • A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle* (essential for all shifts).
  • A kind, patient demeanour — caregiving requires empathy and calm under-pressure.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to forge genuine relationships.
  • Attention to detail, especially when following complex care plans.
  • No prior experience is required — we invest in full induction and expert training.
