NFU Mutual Partner Opportunity based in Downpatrick
This is your opportunity to develop and grow a substantial customer portfolio, build strong relationships across the local community and commercial market, and work in partnership with fellow Agents in the NFU Mutual Mourneview agency.
While commercial growth is a key priority, we are equally looking for someone who can contribute to the overall leadership of the agency and become a trusted partner within the business. The role is broad; you will get to work with diverse clients, deliver tailored insurance solutions, and help drive the next phase of growth for your agency.

About You
This opportunity is ideally suited to ambitious business leaders, experienced insurance professionals and high-performing sales professionals who are ready to help shape the future success of an established business.

- Strong relationship management skills, ideally developed in B2B, client-facing or community-based roles
- Confident communication to influence, build trust and engage business owners, senior decision-makers and local stakeholders
- Good planning and organisation skills to work collaboratively, take ownership and deliver results
- Commercial awareness, including an understanding of what drives business performance and how to turn opportunities into growth.
Whilst not essential, a personal interest or connection to farming, agriculture or rural affairs is helpful, given the agency’s farming heritage and the Assistant Group Manager responsibilities with the Ulster Farmers’ Union (see below).

UFU Assistant Group Manager
Alongside your main focus as an Insurance Agent of NFU Mutual you’ll be employed by the Ulster Farmers’ Union as an Assistant Group Manager. This places you at the heart of your local farming community—supporting with arranging meetings and events, recruiting and retaining members, and keeping them up to date on agricultural policy. You’ll have full backing from the UFU, with access to expert advice and specialist support.
