Company Description:

Stator Capital operates as an independent sponsor focused on acquiring and growing profitable climate technology and infrastructure small and mid-sized enterprises across the UK and Europe. The firm partners with owners and management teams to execute disciplined acquisitions and operational value creation without raising a traditional blind pool fund. Its model centers on originating quality transactions, structuring appropriate debt and equity solutions, and co-investing alongside aligned capital partners. Stator Capital concentrates on businesses in areas such as energy storage, grid modernization, transmission equipment, power electronics, and industrial technologies supporting the energy transition. The firm offers execution speed, investor access, and operating rigor for founders and owners who prioritize confidentiality, clarity, and a direct path to closing.

Role Description:

The Partner, Deal Origination & Investment is a full-time, remote role responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and executing investment opportunities in climate technology and infrastructure SMEs. This role involves developing and maintaining relationships with founders, management teams, advisors, and co-investors to build a robust deal pipeline aligned with the firm’s strategy. The Partner will lead initial screening, financial and commercial analysis, and investment theses, and coordinate due diligence across legal, financial, technical, and operational workstreams. I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
