Partner, Financial Planning | London | Leading Wealth Management Group
Role
A rare opportunity has arisen for a seasoned, commercially focused Financial Planner to join a prominent, national wealth management and financial planning group at Partner level, based in their London office. This is a senior appointment, suited to someone well versed in advising HNW and UHNW clients who is ready for the next step in their career.
Unlike many competitors, where the investment or private banking function tends to lead the client relationship, Financial Planners here own and lead their own client relationships, backed by one of the largest financial planning teams in the country. It's a model that gives you far greater control over your own destiny and the shape of your own book, rather than sitting in a purely supporting capacity. You will also bring strong business development skills, whether that's built through close collaboration with Investment Managers internally, external professional introducers, or a combination of both. As the business continues to evolve and grow, there is real opportunity to develop new avenues and channels for bringing in business over time, making this a very exciting moment to join.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
