Partner Forward Deployed Engineer III, Generative AI (French, German)
AI/ML Software Engineer — GenAI & Agentic Architectures
Location: [Region: Germany/French-speaking] Mission: Build the future of enterprise through AI at Google Cloud.
About the Role
Work at the intersection of cutting-edge GenAI and enterprise-scale solutions, shaping production-grade agent autonomy—from visionary prototypes to actionable cloud deployments. This role empowers you to:
- Bridge Google’s pioneering AI models (including Gemini) with real-world business needs for global customers.
- Collaborate with DeepMind’s AI experts, leveraging Google’s Vertex AI and end-to-end AI platform to solve complex customer challenges.
- Lead field-ready AI systems with contributions from rapid prototyping to robust, scalable infrastructure.
- Push boundaries in multi-agent systems, LLM ops, and agentic workflows while embedding Google’s AI-driven culture.
It’s not just software development—it’s architecture for an era of enterprise AI.
Minimum Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, AI, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience).
- 2 years of software development in 1+ programming languages, OR 1 year with a Master’s degree or PhD in a technical discipline.
- 1 year of ML infrastructure experience, covering:
- Model deployment
- Model evaluation & optimization
- Data processing pipelines
- Debugging
- Familiarity with GenAI techniques, including:
- LLMs (Large Language Models)
- Multi-modal systems
- Large Vision Models (LVMs)
- Proficiency in French and German to support client-relationship management in European markets.

Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree or PhD in AI/ML, Computer Science, or equivalent.
- Expertise in multi-agent system development, including:
- Frameworks: LangGraph, CrewAI, Google’s Agent Development Kit (ADK)
- Advanced patterns: ReAct (Reason + Act), self-reflection, hierarchical delegation
- Deep knowledge of:
- LLM-native performance metrics (e.g., tokens/sec, cost-per-request)
- State management & granular tracing techniques
- Ability to design secure agentic workflows underpinning:
- Model Context Protocol (MCP)
- Tool-Calling frameworks
- OAuth-based authentication
Responsibilities
AI Product Leadership
- Transition AI prototypes to production-grade systems, optimizing for:
- Efficiency, safety, accuracy
- Integrity across multi-agent architectures
- Real-world business impact (ROI, adoption): e.g., workflows combining model context (MCP) with client data.
- Architect the middleware connecting Google’s AI stack to customer environments:
- APIs, legacy data silos, firewalls, and authentication layers.
Evaluation & DebuggingFrameworks
- Build end-to-end evaluation pipelines for agentic systems, ensuring compliance with latency, safety, and accuracy SLAs.
- Develop gentlemen’s clauses and observability tools to mitigate ambiguity in GenAI persona fidelity.
Automation & OpEloquation
- Identify repeatable patterns in Google’s AI customer challenges and:
- Translate them into reusable modules.
- Formalize product feedback loops for Engineering teams.
