Partner Resourcing Coordinator – Addleshaw Goddard
The Partner Resourcing team at Addleshaw Goddard is seeking an ambitious Partner Resourcing Coordinator to support the strategic acquisition of lateral partner talent.
The team manages 40–50 annual partner hires, advising the firm on growth through targeted recruitment. In this role, you’ll:
- Ensure candidates experience a structured, informative, and positive recruitment journey
- Collaborate with senior partners and teams to assess strategic business opportunities
- Monitor and optimise external agent relationships and internal compliance
You’ll manage lateral partner recruitment globally, thus directly contributing to business growth while delivering operational excellence in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
About the Role
Core Responsibilities
Working with agents, this role provides the intelligence needed to:
- Engage and approach target talent effectively, leveraging detailed market insights
- Develop and maintain commercial awareness of firm priorities, team structures, and partner market expectations
You’ll be responsible for:
- Negotiating terms with recruitment agents, ensuring compliance with procurement policies, legal links, and data protection regulations
- Managing central records and reviewing clauses/agreements to reflect market or firm policy changes

In collaboration with HR Business Partners and Commercial Finance Managers:
- Develop business cases for partner hires, analysing financial performance, team structures, and market trends
- Support partners in articulating commercial rationale, projecting revenue generation, and identifying risks
- Coordinate internal approvals while ensuring alignment with the firm’s growth strategy
Additionally, you’ll:
- Guide sponsor partners and candidates through Lateral Partner Questionnaires (LPQs), ensuring accurate data capture on:
- Client relationships
- Business plans
- Conflicts and compliance matters
- Translate firm-wide compensation structures, including remuneration, bonuses, and equity arrangements, for candidates and agents
- Deliver up-to-date insights on firm financials (revenue growth, profitability, market positioning) to manage expectations
Lead direct sourcing initiatives:
- Map target markets, assess competitor activity, and identify emerging trends
- Make confidential outreach to candidates to strengthen recruitment pipelines
- Tailor candidate experiences to firm needs, ensuring consistency and strategic alignment
Who You Are
- Legal market expertise: Strong understanding of legal firm structures (domestic and international), partner recruitment dynamics, and sector trends
- Industry experience: Proven success in recruiting for partner/senior legal roles, preferably within professional services
- Analytical aptitude: Ability to interpret market intelligence, business needs, and recruitment trends to drive decision-making
- Collaboration mindset: Proactive, innovative, and committed to refining processes—for example, enhancing candidate experience
- Organisational skills: Balancing competing deadlines while aligning recruitment timelines with business priorities
- Compliance focus: Adherence to data protection, inclusion, and diversity principles in recruitment practices
- Technical proficiency: Experience with legal market monitoring tools and lateral partner databases
