I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Job Description

About the Role

The Partner Technology & Automation Lead owns the technology and automation layer that powers IFS Partner Operations & Excellence globally. You will design, build, and deploy AI agents and automated workflows that eliminate manual overhead across the partner lifecycle — and you will own the data infrastructure that gives commercial leadership real-time visibility without a human in the production chain.

You will manage a small operational team and own the full IFS partner technology stack: Partner Connect (Unifyr EU), HubSpot, THOR, OSCA, and the Boomi integration layer.

If you're looking for a role where you document processes for others to automate, this isn't it. If you build things, ship them, and then look for the next thing to eliminate — read on.

What You'll Own

AI & Automation

  • Design, build, and deploy AI agents and automated workflows across the partner lifecycle — ticket triage, dashboard refresh, onboarding communications, portal updates, intake routing
  • Own the automation backlog: prioritise, build, and ship
  • Evaluate and deploy AI features within Partner Connect, HubSpot, and adjacent platforms

Data Infrastructure & Governance

  • Own the partner data model across THOR, HubSpot, and Partner Connect
  • Define field mapping standards, data ownership rules, and validation logic
  • Govern data integrity across system integrations via Boomi — flag and resolve sync failures before they surface in leadership reporting

Platform Ownership

  • Own and optimise the full partner technology stack
  • Assess and approve all system configuration changes; run impact assessments before any platform update goes live

Team Leadership

  • Day-to-day management of the TMO (Ticket Management Office) team
  • Build and enforce a structured intake model with defined routes, owners, and SLAs
  • Develop team capability in AI-assisted operations

Qualifications

What We're Looking For

  • Proven hands-on experience building and deploying AI agents or automated workflows in a partner operations, sales operations, or revenue operations environment
  • Platform experience with HubSpot and at least one PRM platform
  • Experience owning a data model or governance framework in a multi-system CRM/ERP environment
  • Track record of reducing manual operational overhead through technology — not headcount
  • Experience managing a small operational team
  • Enterprise software or SaaS background strongly preferred
