Partnering Stores Apprentice
We are looking for a Partnering Stores Apprentice to join our team at Huws Gray Partnering - Cambridge Nuffield Road.
We’re the Huws Gray Group and we’re made up of a number of brands, including Huws Gray, Hirebase, Civils & Lintels, The Timber Group, PDM, NDI and Anglia Tool Centre to name a few.
Our Partnering Stores exclusively serve one customer, and we have a mix of stock in all of our partnering sites to support them with projects in their areas. Our stores ensure they get what they need, on time, every time.
As an apprentice, you'll get a permanent contract from day one, 31 days holiday, a qualification in Level 2 Trade Supplier, and a great start to your career!

A Builders Merchant sells building and construction materials to a range of different customers, from long-standing builders with years of experience in their trade to the do-it-yourself DIYers. As for Huws Gray Group, we are one of the UK’s largest builders’ merchants. We trade from hundreds of locations around the UK, all our branches are long-established companies which have been serving local trades people for many years with the knowledge and experience to match. You can expect reliable stock levels and the highest standards in service.

You’ll be working with people who love what they do and care for each other. Our branch teams are a bit like a family, there’s plenty of fun and you’ll be a key member of the branch. You will get to learn the day-to-day operations of the branch, whether that’s dealing with our customers, working in the yard or helping with office and computer-based tasks.
We are looking for someone who can thrive in a customer focused environment, who enjoys problem solving and has the motivation to progress in their career.
What It’ll Be Like
You’ll be given the training to fully contribute to the day-to-day operations of the partnering branch You will need to commit to and maximise the use of 20% of working hours provided for “off the job” training

The working hours for this role is 40 hours between 7am - 5pm Monday to Friday (different arrangements apply to employees who are under 18 years of age)
