Job Description

The Partnership sales team sits within Sky Media’s Client & Marketing directorate and is responsible for driving cross-platform sponsorship and partnership revenue for all Sky Media’s channels. These include wholly-owned channels from Sky and the Media Partner channels that Sky Media represents (e.g. Warner Brothers Discovery, A+E, AMC, Narrative and All Around The World).

What You’ll Do

Your role is to lead best-in-class sponsorship and partnership recommendations for a specific set of agencies (in this case, WPP) on behalf of their clients to maximise revenue for Sky Media.

To do so, you will have the support of wider Sky Media where you will work hand-in-hand with Strategy, Creative Solutions, Activation, Client Partnerships and AV & Digital Sales amongst others.

Essential Criteria

Generate Revenue (measured in £)

  • Support the Partnership Sales Controller the generation of revenue from agency partnership specialists for sponsorship and partnerships across all Sky media represented channels.
  • Deliver sales strategies for channel sponsorship and partnerships, ensuring the target for your group of agencies is met.
  • Work with Sky Media’s AV, Digital & Social Sales teams to build media plans that deliver halo revenue into relevant product lines.

Drive forward Sky Media’s reputation (measured through internal & external feedback & award-worthy work)

  • Relentless focus on maintaining a high-quality output in recommendations to agencies/clients, actively pursuing the opportunity to deliver award-worthy work:
  • Share the benefits of Sky Media partnerships and sponsorships with agency partners.

Build & maintain relationships (measured through internal & external feedback)

  • Build and hold strong relationships with agency partnership teams for a specific group of agencies (in this case, WPP).
  • Effectively collaborate with Sky Media's teams (Creative Solutions; Activation; AV and Digital Sales; Social; Client Partnerships) to deliver best-in-class pitches.

Desirable Skills And Experience

  • Previous experience and track record in partnerships and/ or sponsorship sales.
  • Experienced in managing a sales pipeline with strong forecasting and prioritisation to maximize revenue.
  • Can confidently negotiate high value, multi-faceted deals.
  • The ability to interpret client briefs and produce high quality sponsorship and partnership recommendations / responses.
  • The ability to engage and motivate key stakeholders within Sky Media to support your work in the Partnership Sales team.
  • Excellent communications, numerical, analytical and presentation skills.
  • Skilled at building and maintaining professional networks that drive new business and strengthen long-term partnerships.
  • An approach consistent with Sky’s values (Welcoming, Creative, Simplifying, Doing the right thing)
