The Role – Partnership Tax Manager / Associate Director
You’ll join our 30-strong Tax Team, which manages the tax affairs of both corporate and private clients. As a Partnership Tax Manager / Associate Director, you’ll take ownership of our partnership and private client tax portfolio, supporting partners and clients with a broad range of tax issues. The work is diverse, challenging, and rewarding — combining hands-on compliance with strategic advisory and consulting work.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the tax affairs of partnerships and partners, including compliance, planning, and advisory Deliver high-quality tax advice to a range of clients, including OMBs, professional partnerships, and HNWIs Review tax returns, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and risk awareness Support the firm’s wider tax consulting and marketing initiatives, identifying planning opportunities and contributing technical insights Supervise and develop junior team members, conducting appraisals and supporting their career growth Contribute to the firm’s knowledge sharing through internal updates and tax articles Manage client relationships and oversee WIP, billing, and workflow management
About You
CTA qualified (or equivalent) with at least 3 years’ post-qualification experience Experienced in working with Owner Managed Businesses (OMBs) and partnerships Strong knowledge of partnership and private client tax issues Excellent client service and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex matters clearly Comfortable managing a team, supporting development, and promoting best practice Organised, commercially minded, and able to manage multiple priorities Proficient in Digita (or similar tax software) and confident using technology to streamline processes
