Role overview
We are recruiting for an experienced Partnership tax accountant/manager to join the tax team who sit within the Finance Department. You will be working with the Head of Partnership tax and the Senior tax manager and will be responsible for providing tax compliance and advisory services to the partners and the firm. The role is suitable for an individual with previous experience in partnership accounting and partnership tax compliance and who will be comfortable with senior stakeholder management.
Key responsibilities
The key responsibilities of this role are set out below and there may be others which are not listed. You may be required on occasion to work outside our normal working hours of 9:30am to 5:30pm.
- Managing the preparation of the firm’s tax computation, partnership tax return and basis period reform amendments
- Assisting in the year-end tax reserving process and preparation of partners’ capital accounts
- Day to day management of the partnership tax compliance process, including organising tax payments to HMRC and dealing with HMRC correspondence
- Assist with reconciliations and journal preparation, including supporting the firm’s audit cycle
- Assisting with tax matters and compliance for the Belgium branch and HK partnership
- Assisting with the reporting requirements for Pillar 2, CbC reporting and transfer pricing
- Ad hoc partnership projects, which are wide ranging given the size of the team
- Assisting the Senior manager ensuring delivery of high-quality tax compliance and advisory work
- Assisting the tax team during the busy compliance season
- Maintaining strong relationships with third party advisers and HMRC
- Drive process improvement, automation and tax technology initiatives

Candidate profile
Candidates for this position must have:
- ATT, CTA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent qualification
- At least 4/5 years post-qualification experience within a professional services environment, either in a managerial/advisory role or in-house role
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- You will be able to demonstrate a deep understanding of the technical issues that are key to the partners and partnerships
- Excellent reconciliation and numeracy skills, confident with journals and financial operations
- Advanced Excel experience to include pivot tables, complex functions and formulas, data validation and conditional formatting
- Ability to prioritise work effectively and meet deadlines
- Strong attention to detail with methodical and logical approach
- Ability to balance a hands-on approach with appropriate delegation and supervision when appropriate
