About the team
Lead the day-to-day delivery of the UK Partnership Tax compliance function as well as being responsible for leading and steering the firm's tax strategy, policies and advising on how these impact the partnership and its partners.
You will be working closely with the client-facing Head of Tax, CFO, Finance team, Partner Finance team and the wider client-facing Tax team.
About the role
- Run the CCH Personal Tax workflow from intake through preparation, review, filing, payments, and PoAs; maintain a single exceptions log and weekly run-rate dashboard.
- Own the annual LLP tax computation and SA800, maintaining clear documentation of technical positions and change-control.
- Leadership of the Partnership Tax Group, chairing meetings (currently quarterly) and monitoring the follow up of actions.

Managing the Partnership Tax Team
- Prepare/review UK corporate tax computations and CT600s for UK entities; manage QIPs and coordinate SAO touchpoints with Finance.
- Oversee SDES bulk submissions and ensure HMRC portal alignment with internal schedules; liaise with Partner Finance on reconciliations.
- Embed mandated workflow/quality controls and enquiry readiness; drive first-time-right and manage ageing items within tolerance.
- Partner with Finance, Payroll/Global Mobility, VAT, and other specialists; provide concise monthly status to the Partnership Tax Director.
What we are looking for
- CTA and/or ACA/ACCA (or equivalent) strongly preferred.
- Evidence of ongoing CPD and familiarity with firmwide quality/controls frameworks.
- Proven UK tax compliance experience across partnerships (LLP/SA800) and/or corporates (CT600/QIPs), ideally within professional services or complex multi-entity environments.
- Relevant experience working in a professional services firm and in a senior role.
- Hands-on fluency with CCH Personal Tax (or equivalent tax software).
- Track record running seasonal compliance workflows with standardised processes/dashboards and measurable delivery against milestones.
- Strong working knowledge of the tax-year basis post-Basis Period Reform and its practicalities for partner returns and estimates.
- Confidence working with structured data sources, reconciliations, and exception management to support automation of complex partnership tax processes (e.g., LLP comp cycle).
- Ability to interpret and operationalise emerging HMRC requirements, including Making Tax Digital (MTD), translating regulatory changes into practical workflow and systems updates.
