Department: Marketing Location: Turf Moor, Harry Potts Way, Burnley, BB10 4BX Contract Type: Permanent Working Pattern: 35 hours per week (Mon–Fri) with occasional and weekend work Closing Date: Sunday, 12th July 2026 Salary: £24,984–£27,587 per annum
The Role
The Partnerships & Fundraising Executive will support the Head of Partnerships & Fundraising in securing new fundraising opportunities and managing both new and current partnerships that fuel Burnley FC in the Community’s charitable work. The role will:
- Help deliver fundraising campaigns
- Build strong relationships with partners and donors
- Generate sustainable income that strengthens the charity’s impact across the community
Responsibilities
Partnerships & Fundraising

Partnership/Sponsorship Management
- Lead generation and sales: Proactively source, pitch, and recruit new corporate partners, sponsors, and ambassadors.
- Account management: Serve as point of contact for existing partners, ensuring contractual obligations are met and maximizing retention.
- Relationship building: Host key account meetings, stakeholder calls, and network events for upselling opportunities.
- Manage partnership assets (benefits, communication plans) to ensure maximum value to stakeholders.

Fundraising & Business Development
- Research prospective partners, write compelling funding pitches, and execute cold outreach to generate new income streams.
- See SLA delivery from sourcing to activation, ensuring seamless partnership experiences.
- Maintain a CRM-focused system for tracking partnerships.
- Co-ordinate activations—signed proposals, follow-ups, and performance reporting.

Fundraising Events (Collaborative with Head of Partnerships & Marketing & Events Coordinator)
- Support event planning, logistics and execution (on-site presence included).
- Log and approve new community-focused events in sync with the team.
- Assist in the organisation of seasonal matchday-branded community fundraising initiatives.
General Accountabilities
- Uphold safeguarding policies, ensuring a secure working environment.
- Demonstrate flexibility in working hours as needed.
- Adhere to Charity policies and drive team collaboration where applicable.
- Commit to promoting equality, diversity and inclusion principles.
- Participate in professional training initiatives.

Qualifications, Experience & Skills
Essential Criteria
- 5 GCSEs (Grade 4–9) covering Maths & English.
- Qualifications or equivalent experience in fundraising or events management.
- Confident prospecting skills; ability to work comfortably outside comfort zones.
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel & PowerPoint) and CRM tools.
