Founding Partnerships & Alliances Lead 🚀

Payflows is the agentic finance platform for modern enterprises, accelerating accounts payable, procurement, and payments automation via AI-driven workflows. Backed by Balderton Capital, Ribbit Capital, and Headline (€25M Series A), we serve fast-growing European companies, including private equity-backed portcos.

Our Intelligent Customer Profile (ICP) is EMEA mid-market and enterprise firms, with 90%+ touchless invoice processing and cost-saving transformations at the core.

The Role

This is a founding partnership function—building the ecosystems that fuel Payflows' growth from scratch. You will:

  • Design the partnership model.
  • Define tiered engagement across three critical pillars.
  • Scale a repeatable pipeline.

You’ll report directly to the Head of GTM, working closely with the CEO and founding team. If you’ve built alliances at high-growth SaaS companies or spent years in PE, ERP ecosystems, or finance advisory, this role lets you "flip the script"—creating strategies rather than executing them.

What You’ll Do 🔧

1. Build the Partnership Foundation

  • Define a tiered model for partners across all three pillars.
  • Develop a playbook to engage with PE funds, tech stack providers, and advisory firms from outreach to co-marketing.

2. Own the Relationship Engine

  • Cultivate value-creation teams, tech alliances, and consultancies that shape buyer decisions.
  • Map and prioritise Private Equity & Sponsors:
    • EMEA mid-market funds’ value creation teams, operating partners, and portfolio finance leads.
  • Forge ties with:
    • Technology & Ecosystem (ERPs, accounting platforms, payments firms, complementary finance tools).
    • Advisory & SI (consultancies, Big Four practices, implementation partners).

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Must-Haves

🔥 Proven expertise in:

  • Partnerships, alliances, business development, or value creation (5+ years):
    • SaaS builder of alliances functions.
    • Private equity (value creation, operations, portfolio ops).
    • Ecosystem owners (selling Enterprise software into finance).
  • Credible networks across at least one of our pillars (PE, ERP/fintech, finance advisory) in EMEA mid-market (UK/Europe)—expandability is key.
  • Unmatched commercial intuition: C-level sales at PE sponsors to match CFO expectations; clarity on "joint value".
  • Trackable results: Deal share through partnerships (sourced ARR, closed relationships included).
  • Be the glue, fluent with finance-speak and ecosystem dynamics. CRISP messaging with one CFO, one FINEX buyer, and one partner rep—no fluent hoops.

🎯 A-gender, self-starter: Thrives on ambiguity, true ownership.

Nice-to-haves

🌟 FinTech or finance automation expertise:

  • ERP busness logic (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Dynamics).
  • Payments Advisory. 🌟 Steven Med Salzmann’s necromancer promises: Spent a decade translucently building an enterprise technology practice for Microsoft, MS Dynamics, or a private equity external investment group. Monitored footprints like a peer/adutopioony disagree.
