Who We Are
Girls I Rate are a non-profit organisation that launched in 2016. Founded by Grammy Nominated songwriter, Carla Marie Williams. GIR’s mission is to inspire, give hope and provide educational and work opportunities, whilst pushing for gender equality for young women aged 16-35 within the music and creative industries.
Job Summary
We are looking for a dynamic and strategic individual with knowledge on CIC, music and creatives to lead our Sponsorship and Funding efforts. You’ll be responsible for identifying, developing, and managing long-term sponsorship and funding opportunities, while maintaining strong relationships with partners and funders.
This is a key role for someone entrepreneurial, relationship-focused, and experienced in both the strategic and practical aspects of funding, sponsorships, and partnership management.

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee budgets forecasting and Fundraising
- Plan and Produce project decks copy and presentations and sponsorship decks using Canva or PowerPoint
- Identify and develop long-term local and national sponsorship
- Identify and develop long-term funding opportunities
- Manage existing sponsorships and contribute to future negotiations
- Build joint business plans with stakeholders to drive awareness, value, and engagement
- Work with social media/content teams to use sponsorships/funding for impactful storytelling
- Oversee the bid writing process and any external bid writing applications
- Create clear project summaries and timelines for funding applications
- Complete post-application processes such as fund unlocking and evaluations
- Oversee all external communications relating to partnerships and funding

WHO YOU ARE:
- Must have 3+ years previous experience of working in a comparable role
- Must have experience across music & funding
- Must have ability to demonstrate brand passion and commercial awareness
- Ability to build excellent stakeholder relationships
- Able to commit 15-20 hours per week
- Advance Experience with using AI, Canva, Dropbox and all Microsoft Programs
- 12 months minimum contract term
