Company Description
EFA London is an independent registered charity that has been providing free, community-based English courses for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) and their families across London since 2006. The organisation works closely with local partners to deliver classes in accessible venues embedded in local communities, such as community centres, faith institutions, and schools. Its teaching approach is inspired by Paulo Freire and Action Aid’s Reflect ESOL Project, viewing education as a tool for social change and encouraging dialogue, critical thinking, and learner-led content. EFA London also offers volunteering opportunities that help local people develop skills and strengthen community connections. The charity aims to empower migrants to improve their language skills so they can participate more fully in life in London and create positive change in their homes, communities, and workplaces.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
