The Role – Parts Advisor/Warehouse Operative
Job Title: Parts Advisor (Glasgow Volvo)
Contract: Full-time, permanent Salary: £28,500 plus bonus! Hours: 42 hours per week Monday to Friday: 8am to 5pm Saturdays: 8am to 12pm (rota basis)

We are currently seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Parts Advisor to join our growing team at Glasgow Volvo.
About the Role
This is an outstanding chance to work with a friendly and professional team as you play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our parts department. By collaborating with an energetic team of Parts Advisors, you’ll have the opportunity to build strong relationships while managing customer expectations effectively.
As a Parts Advisor, your key responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the Parts Manager with daily operational tasks
- Completing Vehicle health checks for our workshop division
- Ensuring all parts and accessories are correctly stocked and maintaining proper inventory control
- Managing order processing, deliveries, and supplier returns with accuracy
- Providing expert assistance with all parts and accessories related to new and used vehicle customers
- Offering exceptional customer service, resolving queries professionally and efficiently
Responsibilities
- Assist the Parts Manager with daily operational duties
- Perform vehicle health checks for the workshop
- Maintain stock control and ensure all items are accurately organised and in the correct location
- Handle order processing, including receiving orders, managing dispatch, and recording returns
- Answer incoming calls from customers with courtesy and practical solutions
- Deliver consistent, high-level customer service in both the retail and workshop areas

Requirements
- Previous experience in a similar role is essential
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Functional knowledge of computer systems (preferably stock automation, ERP systems, or relevant parts management software)
- Ability to work as part of a team while exhibiting independent initiative
- A genuine passion for vehicle parts and automotive services
- The ability to handle customer requests responsibly, ensuring efficient processing of retail and workshop orders
