The Parts Controller Role – 5-Day On-Site Position

You’ll play a key role in ensuring our service operations are optimised, efficient, and seamless by managing inventory, parts control, and warehouse operations. If you thrive on detail, organisation, and problem-solving, this opportunity is for you:
Your Key Responsibilities
Stock Level Control & Inventory Management
- Monitor and maintain optimal stock levels to ensure parts availability.
- Develop inventory strategies to minimise stockouts and excess stock.
- Collaborate with teams to synchronise stock with service demands and demand forecasting.

Monthly Stock Count & Discrepancy Resolution
- Conduct detailed monthly inventory counts to verify accuracy.
- Rectify any discrepancies and update records promptly.
- Identify trends that impact stock accuracy.
Van Replenishment & Parts Deployment
- Ensure service vans are stocked with required parts and consumables.
- Track van inventory and manage timely restocking to minimise downtime.
- Liaise with field teams for real-time replenishment support.
Parts Booking to Jobs & Usage Tracking
- Accurately book parts to jobs via service management systems.
- Maintain meticulous records of part usage to identify patterns or inefficiencies.
Consumable & PPE Procurement
- Streamline purchasing of consumables and personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Collaborate with procurement teams to optimise costs and supplier reliability.
Goods Receiving & Quality Control
- Oversee receiving workflows to ensure smooth docking and documentation.
- Inspect inbound shipments for compliance with quantity, quality, and accuracy.
Warranty Parts Management & Claims
- Handle warranty parts returns/replacements with precision.
- Maintain documentation for warranty claims tracking and audits.
Stores Organisation & Best Practices
- Uphold high standards of warehouse housekeeping and operational efficiency.
- Drive consistency in inventory management across regional stores/hubs.

Extension Support (Peak Times)
- Provide assistance to Service Controllers during high-volume periods.
- Help with call handling, engineer planning, and customer liaising as needed.
What You Bring to the Role
- Proven experience in parts control, inventory management, or warehouse operations.
- Strong organisational skills and an ability to multitask under pressure.
- Exceptional attention to detail—accuracy is non-negotiable.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems (e.g., SAP, ERP, or equivalent).
- Communication excellence—clear, professional interactions with internal/external teams.
- Experience with warranty management and goods receiving processes.
- Basic knowledge of service operations is preferred.
