The Opportunity
As a Parts Project Engineer, you’ll bridge critical functions—engineering, procurement, and suppliers—to support both project delivery and parts execution seamlessly. You’ll drive technical efficiency, resolve supply-chain bottlenecks, and standardise documentation to enhance operational excellence.
Key areas of influence:
- Act as the technical liaison between internal teams (engineering, procurement) and external suppliers.
- Lead projects dependent on Generator/motor parts delivery, ensuring timely execution.
- Support field service teams and operational projects with rigorously maintained technical risk assessments (RAMS) and method statements.
Responsibilities
Technical & Project Leadership
- Standardise and monitor mechanical and winding risk assessments (RA) and method statements (RAMS) for rotating equipment field service activities.
- Prepare ad-hoc, job-specific RAMS to meet project scopes and customer requirements.
- Provide real-time technical support for Generator/motor parts deliverables, resolving delays by coordinating across engineering, parts, and procurement teams.
- Escalate parts project issues and assist suppliers by liaising with the Brush Power Generation engineering team.
- Maintain high-quality technical specifications and deliverables through collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Risk & Compliance
- Support the operation of PAMS (Physical Asset Management System) initiatives.
- Work with technical risk committees to develop stakeholder communications and operational policies.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Address technical and procedural challenges for global suppliers and field service teams.
- Present technical insights to various stakeholders during project review cycles.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Proven experience in the rotating equipment service industry (~5 years preferred).
- Strong stakeholder management skills, including certification focus.
Technical & Professional Skills
- Experience interacting with engineering, procurement, and supplier functions to translate requirements into actionable plans.
- Proficient in interpreting technical documentation, including risk assessments and method statements.
- Ability to manage dynamic priorities and deliver under pressure.
- Excelling problem-solving and analytical abilities, with attention to identifying risks and deriving practical solutions.
