Parts Project Engineer

Baker Hughes – Parts Project Engineer

About the Role

Are you passionate about delivering technical excellence in service operations? Would you like to play a key role in supporting projects and parts execution? Join our team at Baker Hughes, a global energy-technology company operating in over 120 countries, where innovation drives dependable, high-quality energy solutions.

Our service engineering and project execution teams ensure safe and reliable operations, helping customers maintain and optimise critical rotating equipment and components. Partner with the best in the industry and make an impact!

The Opportunity

As a Parts Project Engineer, you’ll bridge critical functions—engineering, procurement, and suppliers—to support both project delivery and parts execution seamlessly. You’ll drive technical efficiency, resolve supply-chain bottlenecks, and standardise documentation to enhance operational excellence.

Key areas of influence:

  • Act as the technical liaison between internal teams (engineering, procurement) and external suppliers.
  • Lead projects dependent on Generator/motor parts delivery, ensuring timely execution.
  • Support field service teams and operational projects with rigorously maintained technical risk assessments (RAMS) and method statements.

Responsibilities

Technical & Project Leadership

  • Standardise and monitor mechanical and winding risk assessments (RA) and method statements (RAMS) for rotating equipment field service activities.
  • Prepare ad-hoc, job-specific RAMS to meet project scopes and customer requirements.
  • Provide real-time technical support for Generator/motor parts deliverables, resolving delays by coordinating across engineering, parts, and procurement teams.
  • Escalate parts project issues and assist suppliers by liaising with the Brush Power Generation engineering team.
  • Maintain high-quality technical specifications and deliverables through collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
