Job Description
Location: Head Office – Ashby-de-la-Zouch, Leicestershire
Our UK Parts Sales Unit is the dedicated parts enquiry team for Konecranes in the UK, operating from our Head Office in Ashby-de-la-Zouch. With an annual turnover of £15 million, the team plays a vital role in supporting our customers and internal stakeholders.
We are currently seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Apprentice Sales Advisor to join our dynamic team. This is an excellent opportunity to launch a career in sales within a fast-paced, supportive office environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond promptly and professionally to parts sales enquiries from a diverse engineering customer base
- Prepare accurate and timely quotations for maintenance service customers
- Support external UK customers, manage global export enquiries, and assist Konecranes’ internal service branches across the UK
- Ensure prompt and professional communication to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction

Working Pattern:
- 37.5 hours per week
- 4 days based in the office (including 1 day hybrid upon completion of training)
- 1 day per week allocated for college release
Qualifications
Candidate Profile:
- Education: 5 x GCSEs or equivalent (minimum grade 4), including maths and English.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- An interest in engineering is essential
- Eagerness to learn and grow within a professional environment
- High levels of enthusiasm, motivation, and self-initiative
- Technically minded with a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
- Proficient in using computers and standard office software
- Committed to delivering excellent customer service
Our Apprenticeship Programme spans 15 months and is built on traditional learning methods, combining hands-on experience with dedicated coaching and mentoring from our experienced Sales Engineers/advisors. This approach ensures you gain practical knowledge, develop essential skills, and build a strong foundation for a successful career in sales.
Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, you will receive:
- A nationally recognised NVQ qualification in line with your apprenticeship programme
- Comprehensive on-the-job training and experience in a professional sales environment
- The opportunity for a permanent position within our UK Parts Sales Unit
