Dorset Travel
Dorset Travel coordinate the transport provision for children and young people with additional needs within Dorset as well as out of county. The team also supply and support transport need for Mainstream, Childcare and Adults.
A regular Passenger Assistant is required from the Portland or Wyke area, contracted at approximately 25 hours per week - Term Time Only, commencing at £13.05 per hour.

The role of a Passenger Assistant is to support children and young people with additional needs, providing assistance and support in maintaining a safe environment on the journey from/to home and school.
This vacancy is to support a young person/s serving Mountjoy School, additional midazolam training will be required.
- Candidates need to be available morning and afternoon to coincide with school opening and closing times.

Dorset Travel is looking for caring, flexible and responsible passenger assistant who have:
- Knowledge of moderate and complex learning needs.
- An understanding of safeguarding children.
- Recognition of a hazard and how to report.
- Customer Care
You must be physically fit with the ability to run, bend, stretch, push, pull, lift, carry and kneel to provide the care required for the position of a Passenger Assistant.
