Security Officer (Entry-Level) – Belfast International Airport Open to applicants with no prior security experience
About the Role
Aviation Recruitment experts Optime are seeking enthusiastic individuals to join their team at Belfast International Airport as Security Officers. This opportunity is ideal for applicants passionate about aviation, customer service, and security, even without prior experience.
You’ll receive:

Rate of pay:
- £12.72/hr during training
- £13.15/hr post-x-ray training completion

Shift Pattern:
- 5 days on, 3 days off
- 10-hour shifts: Early: 03:30–13:30/14:30 Late: 12:30–22:30/23:30
- 40 hours/week (weekly pay via Friday payout)
- Free staff car parking
- Projected start date: April 2026
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct equipment-based and manual searches to ensure secure airport access
- Patrol airside/landside areas, perform access control, and conduct passenger/x-ray screening
- Investigate incidents, document them accurately, and respond to emergencies
- Maintain customer-focused service standards and uphold security protocols
Requirements
Able to provide:
- Valid UK National Insurance details
- Current address proof
- 5-year address history (checkable)
- Previous 3 years of continuous UK residency
