Location: London City Airport

Reporting to: Duty Manager

Shifts: A mixture of early and late shifts (87 hours per month)

Salary: £14.12 per hour

Main Duties

  • To ensure passengers and their baggage are processed for the correct flight in accordance with established procedures.
  • To verify the validity of passengers documentation, with respect to immigration and security considerations.
  • Assisting disrupted passengers in accordance with Duty Managers instructions and with reference to the carrier’s disruption procedures.
  • Attending to the needs of passengers who may require special assistance as a result of their age or physical condition.
  • Comply with all SHP health and safety and security requirements
  • Comply with internal updated procedures as instructed by Manager
  • Comply with external updated procedures as instructed by Airlines and CAA
  • Complete any tasks that the Duty Manager may require
  • To supervise and carry out departure boarding control and safe co-ordination of passengers to and from the aircraft and the terminal building.
  • To accurately control the boarding process, so as to be able to confirm the total number of passengers on board with reference to the security and safety considerations.
  • To deal with passengers in a positive and friendly manner at all times.
  • To conform to the Company’s grooming regulations at all times.
  • Other duties will be assigned from time to time.

Requirements

  • Customer Service experience
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • Good Organisational and Interpersonal Skills.
  • Ability to work rostered shifts and to be flexible in the event of disruptions.
  • The discipline to carry out any valid instruction as requested by the Duty managers / Station Manager
  • A good record for punctuality and time keeping.
