Passenger Service Agent – Gatwick Airport
Aviation recruitment experts Optime Group have a fantastic opportunity to join a leading client at Gatwick Airport. As a Passenger Service Agent (PSA), you’ll support travellers who need special assistance—helping them through the airport with care and professionalism.
Confirmed Start Date: 27th July 2026
What’s On Offer
🔹 Hourly Rate: £14.76 per hour 🔹 Overtime Rate: 1.5x 🔹 Contract Type: Full-Time Permanent 🔹 No holiday accepted: Between 15th August and 15th October
Shift & Availability Requirements
- Shift Hours: Between 03:00am and 00:00am
- Must be fully flexible to work any day of the week, including weekends
- Pay: Monthly

- Escort arriving and departing special assistance passengers (including accompanying family as required), guiding them through the airport:
- On foot
- By wheelchair
- Using electric buggy/caddy (where applicable)
- Drive passengers (via buggy) airside and landside within the airport
- Provide assistance with luggage for special assistance passengers
- Complete the Daily Equipment Check Sheet to ensure operational reliability, reporting defects as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of wheelchairs and buggies
- Update Central Control via IT handsets regarding passenger progress
- Ensure timely and legible completion of all necessary paperwork
- Undertake additional reasonable duties as assigned by operational management
Requirements
Essential
✅ Valid full manual UK driving licence (must be held for the duration of employment) ✅ UK Settled Status (if applicable) ✅ DBS check eligibility (basic DBS required post-interview, per CAA regulations) ✅ 5-year continuous address history ✅ 5-year employment/volunteer reference history ⚠️ Strict checkable reference requirement for aviation duties
