Pastoral Care Officer

About the Role
We are seeking a caring and dedicated Pastoral Care Officer to join our established pastoral team. Working alongside two experienced colleagues and our teaching staff, you will provide an additional layer of support for children and families across the primary age range. Through nurturing relationships, you will help children develop emotional resilience, self-esteem, and confidence, enabling them to overcome barriers and thrive both personally and academically. Working 15 hours per week, term-time only (38.6 weeks).

Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with children, families, and staff, sharing strategies and resources that strengthen support for our most vulnerable pupils.
- As a compassionate listener and trusted adult, play a key role in promoting children's wellbeing, improving engagement, and helping families access the support they need.
- Play a vital role in our safeguarding culture, helping to ensure that children are safe, heard, and supported, and that concerns are identified and addressed promptly.

About Our School
Our wonderful school grounds and outdoor spaces play an important role in supporting wellbeing, alongside our dedicated home-from-home wellbeing bases, The Den, The Burrow, and The Hive. These spaces provide children with opportunities to feel calm, connected, and supported, and are central to our nurturing approach.
