About the Role

A Pastry Chef de Partie role at THE PIG is like no other. We use local suppliers within a 25-mile radius, our own homegrown kitchen garden produce, and a bit of love to create our menus, which change all the time. Our Chefs are passionate and above all driven to provide our guests with an unforgettable dining experience; creativity is what we do best.

Our chefs are chatty people, having constant conversations with the gardeners, local farmers, butchers, and fishmongers about what is available and what is in season.

Our kitchens are fast paced and energetic, which is what we look for in an individual. Come with enthusiasm, your knives, and a bucketful of passion, and we can help you develop the rest.

Responsibilities

As a PIG Pastry Chef de Partie you will oversee the Pastry sections. You will be responsible for the junior staff on the section, so good people management skills are needed. We want our Pastry Chef de Parties to be as passionate and enthusiastic about modern British food and classic desserts as we are.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
