Pastry Chef – The Honourable Artillery Company (The HAC), London – [Permanent]
Company Description Searcys are seeking a Pastry Chef to join an established team at the Honourable Artillery Company.
As a Pastry Chef in this historical venue, you’ll craft high-end desserts and pastries while delivering sophisticated culinary experiences across a diverse range of events — from bespoke fine dining dinners to large-scale corporate parties and outdoor gatherings.
The HAC is a Georgian mansion nestled within five acres of garden—an exceptional London venue that offers varied indoor spaces and a unique al fresco dining area. The role blends tradition with culinary excellence.

Job Description
Location: The Honourable Artillery Company, London
Role Type: Permanent · 20-hour contract (40-hour equivalent weekly hours), £19.50/hr Hours: Monday to Friday (primary)
About the Role: This role demands versatility, as events unfold concurrently across multiple floors of the venue. You’ll assist the Head Chef in day-to-day operations while mentoring the junior team to deliver flawless, high-end dining.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the production, presentation and execution of all desserts, pastries and beverages for events.
- Maintain consistency in quality and plating across every occasion.
- Manage food & stock orders, tracking wastage and costs to ensure efficiency.
- Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop and cost trend-driven menus.
- Support other culinary teams as required, ensuring seamless cross-team coordination.

Requirements
Essential:
- Exceptional organisational and multi-tasking skills
- Ability to operate under pressure
- Commitment to relentless standards
- Experience in fine dining (5-star hotels or Michelin-star level) is highly desirable.
- Strong team player mentality
- Precise attention to detail and outstanding presentation standards
- Excellent communication and adaptability
