Pastry Commis Chef

Our hotel The Balmoral is located at Edinburgh’s most prestigious address, No. 1 Princes Street, where the Old Town stops and the New Town begins. Our hotel’s majestic clock defines the city’s skyline and since the day we opened in 1902, it has run three minutes fast to ensure our guests will never miss their train. Your key responsibilities Rocco Forte Hotels is a collection of iconic hotels that respects the individuality of location and its team members, encouraging them to be their natural selves while providing a local, authentic experience to our guests. We now have an opportunity for a talented Pastry Commis Chef to join our culinary team and work as part of a brigade of chefs with a passion for creating exceptional pastries. As a valued part of the Forte family, you will: Assist in the preparation and production of pastries, desserts, cakes, and bread Support the senior pastry team in the daily operations Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient pastry section Follow all food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards at all times Assist with the mise en place and service preparation for the food & beverage outlets Contribute to and support creativity within the pastry department Ensure all products meet the hotel's five star presentation and quality standards Who we are looking for We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals who are passionate about celebrating the individuality of our hotels and guests.
