About the Role
As a Pastry Commis Chef, you will support the pastry team in creating beautifully presented desserts and baked items that reflect the quality and creativity of Nobu. Working closely with the Pastry Head Chef and wider kitchen brigade, you will assist with preparation, production, and presentation while maintaining the highest standards of hygiene, consistency, and attention to detail.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to develop their pastry skills within a luxury hotel environment.
You Will
- Assist with the preparation, baking, and presentation of pastry dishes
- Ensure your station is organized, stocked, and ready for service
- Follow Nobu recipes and standards to deliver consistency and quality
- Maintain strong food hygiene, cleanliness, and health and safety standards
- Support allergen management and avoid cross contamination at all times
- Ensure pastry equipment is clean, maintained, and reported if damaged
- Work collaboratively with the wider kitchen team during service
- Support and welcome new team members into the pastry team
- Demonstrate a proactive and positive approach to work
- Be available to support other kitchen areas when required
- Embody Nobu values of Family, Crafted, Smile, and Kokoro in every interaction
