We’re on the lookout for a passionate Pastry Commis Chef to join our talented kitchen team at Goodwood House.
This is a fantastic opportunity to begin or grow your culinary career in a truly unique setting, working across a variety of exceptional events - from elegant banquets to vibrant celebrations. Our menus are led by the seasons and showcase the very best of Goodwood Home Farm produce, brought to life with creativity and precision.
You’ll also gain exposure to our pastry offering, supporting the creation of desserts and sweet elements under the guidance of our senior chefs – ideal for someone interested in developing their pastry skills alongside a strong all-round culinary foundation.

You’ll be part of a collaborative team of chefs working across the Estate, united by our ambition to be famous for food. With plenty of training and development opportunities, this is the perfect role for someone eager to learn, build their skills and thrive in a fast-paced, premium kitchen environment.
What you’ll bring:
- A genuine passion for food and delivering exceptional dining experiences
- A positive, can-do attitude and eagerness to learn
- Some kitchen experience and basic knife skills (helpful but not essential)
- A team-focused approach with a sense of fun
- Great attention to detail and pride in your work
- The ability to work at pace while maintaining consistency and quality
- An interest in pastry and developing sweet dishes as part of a well-rounded culinary skillset
