Responsibilities
- Managing and progressing a varied caseload of patent litigation matters under partner supervision.
- Assisting on complex, high-profile UK and cross-border patent disputes.
- Advising clients on contentious IP matters, with a particular focus on technology and telecommunications sectors.
- Drafting:
- Pleadings
- Witness statements
- Expert evidence
- Court documents
- Supporting advocacy preparation, including hearings and trial strategy.
- Conducting legal and technical research on patent issues of complexity.
- Engaging closely with:
- Clients
- Experts
- Counsel
- Overseas legal advisors
- Contributing to business development initiatives and client relationship maintenance.

Requirements
- A Qualified Solicitor with 2–4 years of post-qualification experience.
- Demonstrated expertise in patent litigation, preferably gained at top-tier private practice.
- A strong academic background, equipped with analytical and drafting skills.
- Experience (where possible) advising clients in technology, telecommunications, or other forward-thinking industries would be advantageous.
- While not essential, a STEM degree—particularly in Physics or Engineering—boosts suitability in grasping technical nuances.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with proven ability to build and retain client relationships.
- A proactive, collaborative mindset, reflecting a genuine passion for long-term progression in patent litigation.
