We are seeking an outstanding and experienced leader to join University Hospitals Tees as our Director of Pathology. This is a pivotal role responsible for the strategic, operational, and clinical leadership of pathology services across the organisation.

About Pathology

Pathology plays a central role in modern healthcare delivery, significantly influencing an organisation’s ability to provide high-quality, efficient, and effective patient care. Evolving demographics, increasing demand, advances in technology, and the ongoing focus on efficiency are key factors driving improvements in service quality, reshaping how healthcare services are delivered.

About University Hospitals Tees

University Hospitals Tees was formed by the merger of South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust. As a result, postholders may be required to work across sites within both organisations.

University Hospitals Tees aims to be the best place to work, focusing on ensuring the right staff are in the right roles at the right time to deliver outstanding patient care and experience.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
