Job Overview

An exciting opportunity is available to join the Patient Access & Booking Centre at Glan Clwyd Hospital on a permanent basis. We are looking for a hard-working individual to join our busy team. The role is based in a busy call centre environment, and the successful applicant will be part of a team of experienced staff with responsibility for managing a waiting list and booking patients. This role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to multitask, and staying calm under pressure is essential.

Welsh to be learned within 12 months of appointment.

Main Duties of the Job

  • Working in a highly pressurised booking centre, within a busy call centre environment, to provide an accurate and prompt administrative function to facilitate the delivery of a professional, efficient, and effective centralised booking service, for a variety of outpatient clinics.
  • Using own initiative in sometimes complex situations to ensure that patients are booked in line with Local and National Access Targets.
  • Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, supporting other team members to deliver the Access targets and patient-focused booking service.
  • To be part of a cohesive and integrated admin function to the service.

Duties/ Responsibilities:

  • Provide “first point of access” administration for all referrals in the Booking Centre.
  • Act as first point of contact for all enquiries and referrals into the Trust.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
