Are you ready to embark on an exciting journey as a Patient Administration Officer at our state-of-the-art cancer care centre in Oxford?
Join our dedicated team at GenesisCare UK and play a vital role in delivering an exceptional experience for patients throughout their cancer journey.
As a Patient Administration Officer, you'll be at the heart of the patient journey, ensuring referrals are processed efficiently, appointments are coordinated seamlessly and every patient receives outstanding customer service from their very first interaction with GenesisCare.
Working closely with consultants, clinical teams and medical secretaries, you'll provide administrative support across the patient pathway while creating a welcoming and compassionate environment for patients and visitors alike.
What You'll Do
- Coordinate patient referrals and appointments accurately and efficiently.
- Be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service both in person and over the phone.
- Contact patients promptly following referral to guide them through their treatment journey.
- Liaise with consultants, clinical teams, NHS Trusts and internal departments to ensure smooth patient pathways.
- Schedule appointments and maintain accurate patient records within MOSAIQ.
- Support reception activities, welcoming patients and visitors to the centre.
- Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with GenesisCare policies and procedures.
- Help deliver an outstanding patient experience by arranging additional support services where appropriate.
- Support continuous improvement by maintaining quality standards and assisting with training new team members.

What You'll Have
- Previous administration and customer service experience in a busy environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A caring, empathetic and professional approach to patient care.
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Confidence managing multiple priorities and working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Previous healthcare administration experience is desirable.
- Experience using MOSAIQ would be advantageous but is not essential.
