Patient Administrator – Full-Time Role

About the Role

The Patient Administrator role is based at The Alexandra Hospital, Cheadle, part of Circle Health Group—Britain’s leading provider of independent healthcare. The role is permanent, full-time (37.5 hours per week) and requires flexibility in shift coverage.

Encompassing the Administration department, this position provides essential support to ensure smooth patient journey management while upholding Circle Health Group’s standards of efficiency, professionalism, and service excellence.


Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the smooth running of patient administrative processes throughout every stage of the patient journey.
  • Ensure adherence to Circle Health Group best practice process maps, delivering efficient, professional, and standardised service to patients, visitors, consultants, and staff.
  • Handle all patient queries with effective and professional communication.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail, organisation, and correspondence.
  • Approve electronic bookings via internal systems and update bookings received via email.
  • Maintain knowledge of the Health and Safety at Work Act, implementing necessary safeguards for patients, relatives, visitors, hospital staff, and contractors.
  • Comply with mandatory training requirements.

Essential Requirements

  • GCSEs in Maths & English (grades A–C) or equivalent Functional Skills Level 2 verified.
  • Proven proficiency in PC usage, including software & systems management.
  • Basic familiarity with financial awareness (useful for administrative tasks).
  • Previous experience in administration within a private healthcare environment is desirable.
