Patient Care Advisor
Location: Hull
Salary: £12.71 per hour
Job Type: Full-Time | Temporary
Start Date: 3 August 2026
Working Hours
- 40 hours per week
- Monday to Friday, between 7:00am and 7:00pm (8-hour shifts)
- Saturdays, 8:00am to 1:00pm on a rotational basis
- Office-based role (no hybrid or remote working)

As a Patient Care Advisor, you'll play a vital role in supporting patients throughout their diagnostic journey. From booking appointments to answering queries and processing results, you'll help ensure every patient receives a professional, efficient, and compassionate experience.
The Role
As part of the Diagnostics team, you'll be responsible for delivering an excellent patient experience while supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the service.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing administrative support and maintaining accurate patient records
- Answering patient enquiries by telephone in a professional and empathetic manner
- Booking and managing appointments for diagnostic services
- Processing imaging results and updating internal systems
- Supporting image processing and document uploads
- Managing patient calls and resolving queries efficiently
- Ensuring all patient information is handled accurately, securely, and confidentially
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to deliver an efficient and high-quality service

What We're Looking For
We're looking for people who are:
- Friendly, approachable, and professional
- Passionate about delivering an outstanding patient experience
- Organised, proactive, and able to work well under pressure
- Confident using a range of IT systems
- Excellent communicators with strong telephone and interpersonal skills
- Committed to accuracy and attention to detail
- Adaptable with a positive, "can-do" attitude
- Experienced in delivering exceptional customer service
Previous experience in a contact centre, healthcare, administration, or customer service role would be beneficial, but it isn't essential. We welcome applicants with transferable skills and a genuine passion for helping people.
