We are looking for a dedicated Patient Engagement Lead to join our team at HMP Doncaster, a Category B prison located in the Marshes area of Doncaster.
HMP Doncaster is a local resettlement prison based in South Yorkshire, accommodating a male population of up to 1,145 individuals, including approximately 200 young offenders aged 18-20 years.
Hours
Full-time role, working 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday, core business hours).
Salary
An annual salary range of £29,264 - £33,510, dependent on experience.

Key Responsibilities
As the Patient Engagement Lead, your role will include:
- Driving patient engagement activities and ensuring high patient satisfaction through:
- Effective service user engagement and peer-led forums
- Planning and delivering projects and programmes aligned with patient needs and priorities
- Involving patients (where possible) in project delivery and training
- Serving as a point of contact for patient engagement enquiries from:
- Healthcare staff and external partners
- Patients themselves
- Overseeing and managing the health champion peer support model:
- Conducting frequent training sessions on Health Champion delivery across the region
- Ensuring compliance with statutory and organisational requirements and:
- Conducting timely evaluations of engagement activities across all locations
- Disseminating feedback and recommendations with patients, staff, and external partners as needed
