Patient Engagement Lead
About The Role – Patient Engagement Lead
We’re recruiting at HMP Moorland and HMP Hatfield, south Yorkshire’s prisons.
Hours
Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, covering core business hours across both sites.
Salary
An annual salary of £29,264–£33,510 (depending on experience).

Responsibilities
As Patient Engagement Lead, your role ensures patients are central to service improvement while managing:

Patient engagement excellence:
- Steering patient satisfaction improvements through hands-on service user engagement and peer-led forums
- Delivering projects/programmes aligned with patient needs and priorities, involving patients where feasible, for training and project delivery

Point of contact:
- Handling all patient engagement queries from colleagues, partners, and individuals

Health Champion management:
- Overseeing the peer support network, including organising and facilitating Health Champion training regionally

Compliance & continuous improvement:
- Meeting statutory/offer-wide standards
- Organising regular engagement events across sites with deadlines-driven evaluations
- Communicating actionable feedback to patients, staff, and partners
