The Patient Pathway Support Role
The Patient Pathway Support role provides high-quality administrative support to ensure the efficient coordination of patient pathways and the smooth running of outpatient clinics.
Working closely with Patient Pathway Coordinators, consultants, and clinical teams, the role involves:
- Preparing and tracking patient records
- Maintaining accurate electronic records using the Patient Administration System (PAS)
- Filing clinical documentation
- Ensuring confidentiality and data quality standards are met
- Clinical audio typing of letters, operation notes, and discharge summaries
- Responding to patient and staff enquiries
- Supporting clinic administration to meet service deadlines
Requirements
The role requires excellent organisational, communication, and keyboard skills, with the ability to:
- Prioritise workloads
- Work accurately under pressure
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, efficient, and patient-centred care
