Job Overview

Internal Vacancy – Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board (BCUHB)

About the Role

The successful candidate will provide comprehensive administrative support to the Unscheduled Care Division, focusing on:

  • Collecting, recording, analysing, interpreting, and reporting RTT (Referral to Treatment Time) data
  • Ensuring compliance with Welsh Assembly Government targets related to RTT and Service & Financial Frameworks
  • Accurate and timely recording of the entire patient pathway on WPAS (Welsh Patient Administration System)
  • Using Pathway Tracker to monitor patient progression through core services (e.g., health records, radiology, pathology)

This role involves close collaboration with the Medical Directorate, Administrative Staff, and Clerical colleagues to maintain accurate waiting lists across all stages of the patient journey, while generating reports for Management meetings to demonstrate progress.

Main Responsibilities

The Pathway Tracker will:

  • Ensure adherence to Welsh Government Referral to Treatment (RTT) guidelines, supporting smooth progression through the Care Pathway.
  • Work alongside Administrative and Clerical Staff to:
    • Monitor patient advances through all stages of the pathway
    • Ensure accuracy of waiting lists
    • prepare timely reports for Management meetings
  • Actively liaise with other healthcare teams to maintain efficient patient service delivery.
